I recently bought a Singer Spartan off of Craigslist for $20.00 in excellent condition with a case but no attachments. Works perfectly. The guy wanted $25 and said the needle wouldn't go up and down but the motor ran. So he took the $20 dollars and I took it home and cleaned out the "bird's nest" under the needle. Now it just hums along!! I love it. Last Sat. I bought a light green 99 which needs cleaning but runs perfectly. I paid $20 for it at the pawn shop. Bought a FW off ebay with case but no attachments for $199.99. I have lots of Singer attachments from years ago. Seems I'm getting addicted to these old machines....
