Singer model 99 featherweight is advertized in local paper for a future auction. Trying to find a price, I found on the internet that model 99 is not considered a featherweight. Anyone now if this is correct? Anyone have one or know a price range for this? I couldn't find a price anywhere. Thanks in advance for help.

I have a 99 and it is heavy. It is different from a featherweight.

I just got one for $85 in a super nice case. IT AIN'T NO FEATHERWEIGHT - LOL. She may be little, 3/4 the size of a full grown Singer but she is solid cast iron and heavy. The reason the seller says she is a featherweight is because she is small. I will guess she weighs 40 lbs. A true featherweight only weighs about 10 - 11 lbs. She may be little but she is solid muscle! And I just love her. She is adorable.

The 99 or 99K is a great straight stitching machine but it isn't a Featherweight and should sell for considerably less. In my area of Ontario, I've seen them sell in the $25- $75 range unless they are in a fantastic cabinet. This model was also sold as a handcrank machine and I'd like one.
