    Hello,

I have a 250 and LOVE IT, EXCEPT FOR the constant beeping while I am sewing.
I am wondering if you can help me with that. WHY does it beep?

I have re threaded the machine
I have re done the bobbin and checked to be sure it was in correctly.
It makes beautiful stitches but beeps and then stops. I restart it we go for a bit and then it starts it's beeping again,.
This is in the SEWING ONLY I can't for the life of me figure out why it constantly beeps.

    I have gone slower,
    gone faster,
the 'greeen' lights on the stitch length and wide are green and this is all on the straight stich

Does any one have any suggestions / ideas as to why it does this? Most other times I have found a problem with it, bobbin ran out or something, but this time I jsut can't figure it out.

BTW: I can't seem to find a tutorial with all the cd's and stuff that came with the machine. Everything for it was for the embroidery part.

    Thanks for the help.

There should be an owner's manual online for each machine. I found and downloaded an operating manual for my own machine.
Finally found out what I was doing wrong. Different machine, but it had to have different bobbins. That was all the problems it had and I hadn't noticed the bobbin that came with it was not the same one I'd been using for years.

You may want to join a yahoo group for this machine.

Does it beeb when you first start? The top thread needs to be held for a few stitches that is what mines does and on HSN the lady that sells them said this was one issue they had. If it is constant with no error code you might want to call Singer.

I don't know if this will help but I own a Brother and it will beep like this and stop if the bobbin casing needs a good cleaning. It has the low bobbin indicator on it,I'm assuming yours has this also. Hope this will help.

well I've only sewn with mine once but I had issues with it in embroidery a few times.... do you have the tension set for sewing, not embroidery? when all else fails, turn it off, unplug it, wait ten minutes and try again. this gives it time to come to it's senses and reset itself!

Go to Singershop.com...I think that is the website for help. I think you can download a tutorial for this machine. Good Luck.
