    I don't have one.
    Which model?
You need to have it hooked to a computer and it does not, as of last week when I spoke to my sister, support windows 8.
I believe there are better, more user friendly machines out there but that is only my opinion.

I have an older one, the Futura CE 200...and I love it! There have been numerous discussions about the line...but I am a firm believer that, like everything else, there are good and bad ones of EVERYTHING out there. Guess I was fortunate to get a good one. There is a Futura.com group that may help you with some info...and I know there are several newer ones out there that are supposed to be better than the one I have. The biggest hoop on the one I have is 5X7"; and you download the designs with your computer hooked up to the embroidery machine. Singer also put out a CD with a lot of designs on it as well. So...good luck!

They have come out with updated software for Windows 8 just recently for some of the newer models of Futura. I have the SES 2000 and the XL 550. The software has been upgraded for both of these. The large hoop size on the 550 is 6 X 10 and does mullti hooping the SES 2000 large hoop size is 5 X 7 and you can't multi hoop.

I just ordered the xl 550 - I'd like to hear how those of you that have one, like it? I am a little nervous because it has as many negative reviews as positive. If it works though, there are a lot of features for that price point. Hopefully it'll be here tomorrow. I intend to use it mainly for making labels, although i'm sure I'll play around with the other embroidery too. It will not be my main sewing machine and I'll probably leave it set up in embroidery mode.

So, anybody else have one? What do you think of it?
