I was given the CE 100 as a birthday present a few years ago, when they came out with the upgrade to to CE 200 I did that, it added a few nore bells and whistles, it can read almost any embroidery format and you can download directly to your computer, nothing else to buy, you do have to have it connected to your computer to talk to it bit once you get it going you can go on and use your computer as usual. I like mine better for piecing than I do my other but keep it hooked up for embroidery.
How much are you getting yours for? (if you don't mind me asking) mine was barely shy of $500.
oh and you can buy more programs, photo stitch, hyperfont, and more I can't remember the names of.

I have decided to go for it LOL! Now to find the best deal. the difference between the 250 and 350 is editing software that I am told you can get for cheaper than the $200 price difference.
Lots of online dealers selling lots of different packages. the lowest was 649 and goes up depends on whats included.
Going to talk to hubby tonight ( since I have been on medical leave from work for a couple months) but I am sure he will be fine with it even if he doesn't quite understand WHY? i need another machine. I gave him a great analogy when I started looking. "You know how it is when you need a socket and don't have one that fits?" LOL. He understands.
I will let you know what I find
