I know there's a website that helps date Singer sewing machines. My MIL has a Singer treadle with the serial #107639. Can anybody help me figure out the year and model for this serial #?

    Thanks.

    From the website: Earliest Machines
The oldest sewing machines may not have a model number on the machine. If this is the case we can usually determine the model from the machine's serial number. Please call 1-800-4-SINGER (1-800-474-6437) for assistance in determining the model number.

I can't find a anything to correspond with the number you have given. Try calling Singer for more info.

107639 predates the records that start in 1871...UNLESS!!! It's a 9W, or are you sure there are no letters in front of the numbers?

    Photo would help! :)
