A lot of you probably already know that there are Singer yahoo groups you can join that tell you about your vintage Singer machines. Once you join the group there are files available you can look at and download that show you how to maintain your machine, fix parts like your tension and rewire diagrams for motor controllers and even a few manuals you can download. There is a vintage singer group and a singer group, vintage is mostly the older black machines and the the singer group is more like the 500 rocketeers and later. These groups are really helpful when you are using the older Singer machine and well worth your time to check out. WIthin the group is also a message board you can search for your particular machine info and also picture galleries that may help you id your machine if you need that. Just so ya know.

They don't allow links to yahoo groups here. The best thing is to go to groups dot yahoo dot com and do a search.

I love the Yahoo groups too. Belong to several different ones. They are another great source of information.
