    I am so excited, DH is taking me to Sisters for the outdoor quilt show next month. I will be meeting up with a cousin from northern Oregon and one from Honolulu for a girls day of fun. Is there anyone else out there going? Anyone have any suggestions as to what to look for if you have been there? A week after I return from Oregon we have the Long Beach International Quilt Show near us and I will be going with my guild to that. We always have a wonderful time. I think that will do it until the San Diego Quilt Show in the fall and then January is the Road to California show. Oh dear, whenever will I get time to sew??? :wink:

    I have a couple of friends that are coming up to see our new place, then driving up to Sisters, depending on how things are going here, I'll try to go, since we're pretty close to Oregon.

    I went to Sisters for the first time last year, and it was awesome. I plan to go again this year and stay longer. Last year we took the bus from the Albany senior center, and it arrived late, left early. This year we will drive up for the WHOLE day.

    My guild and another nearby guild each made a quilted car that we are hoping to display at Sisters.

    It would be fun to meet up there.

    I have never been to the Sisters show. I am considering going to the Long Beach one. I was only half thinking about it when DH said "you ought to go to that" Sometimes they come up with great ideas!!!

    Would you believe I live an hour from Sisters and have never been to it??!!!! I plan on going this year....come heck or high water!

    Sisters is a wonderful show. Make sure you take good walking shoes, have plenty of film/a charged battery on your camera, lots of water and plenty of money as the booths are to die for. Hope you have great weather. We went last year and finally had to call it a day. Your brain begins to fry with all the quilts you will be seeing. Enjoy! :D

    Thanks for all the tips. I'll have to watch my spending though because when I return from that trip, 4 days later I go with my guild to the Long Beach International show. So many vendors, so little money. Thanks again, I will use your suggestions.

    Be sure to bring a hat too! Sisters, OR is in the high desert and can get HOT! It is a fantastic day no matter what! I call it "visual overload" by the end of the afternoon!

    Our little quilt group was just talking about the Sisters Show, they were saying it was the first week in July, I was saying it was in either the first or second week of June. So, it is in June, right? When exactly?
