    Try a size 16 needle. Every time I have skipped stitches, going up a needle size has fixed it.

    Also try the anti-glue needles that Organ makes. You can get them at Amazon. I was having problems with skipped stitches on a glue basted quilt and when I switched to the anti-glue needles the problem stopped.

    King Tut is a really thick thread. On a domestic machine I would use a 16 needle. On a long arm I would use an 18 or 20.
