    Thanks to everyone that posted a reply. It's the first time I've done this online. To everyone, it is what you would call a faux chenille quilt where you sew on the diagonal every inch and then you slash between the stiching and wash it several times. The quilt itself is made of 5 layers of flannel (not cheap) the first layer wrong side up, the other layers right side up. You slash or cut through the top 3 layers. It did ravel and look like chenille. I just wasn't expecting the lint on the back side. I will try and post a picture. First I have to find out how to do that!LOL I liked the comment that an old looking quilt is a beautiful thing. Thanks again. I feel like I have some new neighbors here in California.
