    I hate it when I do that so I don't pin. I sew one piece at a time. that way if I screw up, I know it right away.

    Been there done that but had sewn them all together before I noticed the blocks weren't fitting right.
    Unpinning is a lot easier than ripping out. But just as annoying.

    I was finishing my last BOM and putting them in the proper order by lOoking at the ill. And realized that I pieced the star wrong. Had to taKe it apart and redo it. At least I noticed it before the blocks were all sewn together. Had one that I didn't notice the mistake until after it was completed for about a year!

    I was working on double sawtooth star sections and sewed
    5 of them together backwards before I realized it. I chain pieced them with my Singer 201 treadle.
    I had to frog stitch(rip it rip it) and try again.

    I know this is no consolation, but at least you noticed after sewing one set - it could have been all of them! Have you ever considered doing them all backwards and call it "your inside out" quilt?
