This thread is just too funny for me. I have the SHAPE CUT and the FRINGE CUT rulers and never really used them cuz I didn't know how. Today I watched the video's and have now dragged them out from behind a bookcase; I'm sure I bought them several years ago, this isn't the first time I have bought something and never used it. Thanks for the information.

Sorry, I don't know what the Quilt Cut 2 is either. I thought you were talking about the June Tailor. I apologize.

Why rulers with slots instead of just cutting along the edge of a "normal" ruler.

I just checked out the Quilt Cut 2; looks like it would be a lot more expensive than the June Tailor ones. I think I would like the June Tailor better, too many parts in the other.

You have more control over the fabric, because the whole ruler is holding down the fabric, and if you cut the first cut and then remove the scrap part, the rest will hold steady by the slot. You can cut more than one strip without moving the ruler, plus you can cut several layers without slippage, something I always have difficulty with with a regular ruler.

Can someone show a picture of the ruler? I haven't used one yet and would like to know more about them.

I have 2 of the June Tailor Shape Cut rulers (the Pro and the Plus). I love using them because they save me so much time and my cuts are accurate.
