I recently finished my first quilt and borrowed some of those hair clips from my teenage daughter and they worked great for the binding! I plan on using them in the future!

Don't you just love the feeling you get when you finish a quilt!! I am feeling very satisfied right now. And to top it off, I really like the quilt. I am one of those who just can't visualize the final quilt until it is done. I envy those of you who have "the vision."
I remember diagramming also. Only, I thought was a big pain in the A##! Mrs Greene will probably come and haunt me now!

I don't have any and won't buy any. They look like the old hair clips to me.

I use them all the time better than pins that poke you &they do hold nice & tight until you take them off.

I use them for my binding, for marking hems on pants and whenever I need a clip in my sewing room.

What timing !!! I was thinking about posting a topic about these hair clips. I had tired the clips but the blanket I was working on (cotton on one side and minky on the other) caused the clips to keep sliding off. A little too bulky for them I guess. So I got to looking online and found 3 3/4 inch clips that will work much better. You can purchase these bigger clips at: http://www.artfire.com/modules.php?n...uct_id=1328002

I use them and I love them. You can take a project with you and don't get stuck by pins. I have a lot of them but I use just a few and fold and clip as I work. That way I don't need to have anything to put them in as I work.

If you do use them, do you like them?
I bought a bunch, but I never got in the habit of using them. I pin a lot. I'll try to use them, otherwise I've wasted money.
