    Default small quilt finished

It's surprising how long even a small quilt can take! This one barely covers one lap...

I used up almost all of the fat quarters and scraps, which was the plan. 3-inch squares and 6-inch ones. (Cut to get the most out of the fat quarters, and since the fabric is more like homespun, I wanted to keep the pieces on the large size, but not too.)
Since I had no instructions, piecing was also a trick. I found I had to go from top to bottom and not do chunks in the middle otherwise when I put the rows together the seams would not lean the right direction. Who knew it would take so much thinking!

Each fabric has a different quilting pattern. The dark reds have diamonds; the green, squares; the white, circles; etc.

    Thanks!

You did a wonderful job on this quilt, and your hand quilting is really nice. This is one to be proud of!
