    I would bind it. Have you ever done fake piped binding. I love it. It is really easy and it can be done by machine. I do most of my bindings this way now. Google fake piped binding. There are also youtube videos.

    I just did one that I did pillowcase style and then "anchored" the edges with a machine sewn rickrack and it looks good!

    Perhaps add a small border, I'd pick green. That would give it the finished edge look. Then pillowcase it and quilt. I agree, not all projects need a binding. You need to decide what time you have for quilting and how you want to be using that time.

    With this gorgeous project I'd do the pillow case method. It has a beautiful simplicity and doesn't really need a binding.

    I love doing binding, but on this one I'd birth it. Leave the center hold open and turn it through there, then sew bias binding on by machine, leaving it long enough to be the tie. JMHO
