I just bought Eileen Roche's snap hoop so I could quilt my embroidered designs without getting puckers. Big disappointment. It doesn't hold the fabric taut as promised. $179 down the drain. Anyone else use this snap hoop?

Get the No Slip hoop from JoAnn's. They don't slip.
Made by Morgan Quality Products. Made in sizes 6"-14". I use the 14" in all my hand quilting classes.

$179????is it made of gold and to hang in a frame on the wall???
sorry- that just really took my breath away---that's a huge amount of money to spend on an embroidery hoop???

maybe you need to add Leaders---an extra layer of fabric under the (holders)?

when i am embroidering with my $5 snap frame hoops often i have to add muslin around the edges to give the snap on holders a bit more to hold on to.

I can't believe you are not returning it since it doesn't work as expected. I'd dang sure give it a try.

I got the same thing when they said they had one that work with my bernina emb machine. They sent it and the machine would not recognize it. I called and they sent another; smae thing. I called again to return it and they want to charge me a #30 restocking fee. I had a fit. I told them it was not somethig that I just decided I didn't want it did not work wiht the Bernina machine as they said. They didn't charge me the restocking fee. You could send back and they would charge a restocking fee, but it is much better than paying that much for something you don't think works for you they way you want.
