I'm with you. When I see snow, I plan to sew, bake, read, even watch TV during the day. I seem to produce more in winter, but then in summer I turn on the AC and quilt and finish whatever I have produced.

I made adjustments (new word for using my seam ripper again) to my blue string quilt all day yesterday as it snowed here in Iowa also. Managed to make a post of chicken tortilla soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for supper. Wind chill may be below zero here today...maybe I can manage to finally get the string quilt quilted and a binding put on today.

No snow here but it's 20 degrees outside. I spend more time in my sewing room in winter. I have lots of flower beds so spring and summer I spend as much time outside as I can and that means working the flower beds.

I sew more in the Winter. I love to be outside in warm weather though I still get my sewing done. I am in a hand quilting group that meets every Wednesday so it keeps my interest going. We “show and tell” and that puts me in the mood!

I never used to quilt in the summer. Like others too much work outside. Am now retired and we live in a twin home in our small community. Now I quilt whenever I want. Awesome!

I quilt year round. I live in Florida and the humidity is very high for a lot of the year so I enjoy being inside my sewing room in the A/C. I don’t like cold weather so I stay in during the winter and quilt then too. We don’t have the “cold weather” as a lot of you do but for this Florida-raised gal the 50’s and 60’s is cold for me. LOL

We got about 4" on Monday, but the roads seem okay this morning for my volunteering, just frigid outside! I tend to sew year round in heat or A/C, and attend a local retreat center once a month to keep motivated (I have an annual pass) We travel more in the nicer weather but I tend to read and bake more in the winter, so it evens out.

I quilt all year long but I also love hand work with a nice fire going. Cozy!!!
We ended up with 10" here yesterday. Schools are all closed around the area. I am hibernating for the time being. I can't shovel the snow because of a heart condition unless I do it very slowly. I am hopeful that a neighbor will come over and get me out. Until then I am at the sewing machine making a quilt!
