OMG! That is so funny! Your calm response probably P---ed her off more! Love it. Why do some people think they can tell perfect strangers what to do with their belongings? Where is a real cop when u need one? She must be a real "sweetheart" Bet her family is so proud of her HAHAHAHA

She really took a chance on her life, you could have been an expert in Karate !! Think that would have stopped her cold. My DH has a fit when he can't find his raggy old quilt that I made to be used as a tablecloth. It seems to find itself in some of DD belongings. It is thin and patched up but when DH whines about not having it I feel Tickled that it means so much to him.

Boy, this hasn't been your week, has it??? I would have been so shocked by her actions and words that I probably wouldn't have been able to say much. You handled her well tho, maybe she will think twice before she confronts someone else-at least I hope so.

A few years ago I was driving around running errands in my neighborhood when I saw a crocheted afghan (beautiful colors) being used as a boat cover!! I went and knocked on the door and told them how much I liked the afghan and that I would be interested in buying it ( I really wanted to rescue someone's loving work). Well he fixed my wagon and said he wanted $300 for it. I thanked him and walked away. I don't know whatever happened to it because it wasn't there much longer. Maybe they were afraid that I would steal it. Anyhow, I hope they didn't think I was the afghan police just that I felt so sorry for the poor throw being beaten by the sun and weather. You reminded me of that story. I guess someone here said it best, our joy is in the making and giving and we need to release the gift once we give it away.
