ck, you did GREAT! I'm so proud of you for standing your ground and my, how eloquent you were! In that situation, I would never be able to think of the things to say. You are amazing and my hero!!!

The lady was definitely out of bounds, but makes me wonder what somebody did to a quilt she made that left such an impression. I definitely see therapy in her future.

Aside from her rudeness to you, being the quilt police and all, I have to admit that I am excited that she wanted to protect your quilt from damage or whatever. So many people don't have respect for all the work, time, love and money that we put into our quilts. Maybe she'd given quilts to people who used them as dog blankets after she meant for them to drape across a bed or couch. Even tho the quilt is yours to do with as you wish, she might have felt that it was being disrespected and felt she needed to 'speak up' for the quilter who made it for you ... even tho you were the one who made it.

    Just saying....

not to make excuses for her behavior, just what might have prompted it.

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA ... who hopes her daughter doesn't put her wedding quilt in the barn for the cats to sleep on, pee on, hack hairballs on

I loved they way you told us your story, even tho it should never happen in this world we live in you can expect anything, you handled the situation very well, well done.
I too make my quilts to be used tho I have only made 2 so far but I hope to see my GD drag hers around the house or where ever, I made it with love and expect it to be loved however she sees fit.

What is a scottish fold? I had a Persian, just keep brushing and combing they get use to it. A little at a time with lots of love before and after. Cute name.
