JoAnn's, Michaels, AC Moore, and I can't justify buying anything. I have everything I need and enough fabric. I don't even need a spool of thread.

My lqs has a Mexican Star pattern for $8. Didn't buy it before because I wanted to buy the fabric also. BUT, that would be for ME and now is the time to shop / quilt for OTHERS. sigh.

Anyone want to come to my boohoohoo party?

I am right there with you. boohoohoo

I keep looking at the flyers and all the great deals and coupons, but I really do have all I need and then some.

In addition, with end of year property taxes coming due, I should be better with my money.

Oh, I have to agree with both of you. I told my friends who were talking about going to Joanne's tomorrow that I just don't need a thing, the only thing I would be tempted to look at are Christmas village houses. But I can't. I have a roll of batting ordered at Walmart and will have to pay for that when it comes in, so just can't go spend money on me. Why don't they have a Black Friday during the summer? Hope you had a good T-day!

Same here. It's time to buy and sew for others and I have everything I need to do it.

I'm joining your party too. This will be a first, I have always been one of those excited and eager people out shopping at the wee hours of the morning~it's kind of a tradition. But I really didn't see anything that was a must have ~ DH keeps aslking if I'm alright...LOL.

I will be going to Joann's Saturday just for the Olfa blades that are BOGO.

I just looked at black friday sales online and didn't see a single thing that I need or WANT...

I have enough fabric - some great stuff too - to make a gazillion quilts and I've also stocked up on backings of all kinds and batting...
I have enough thread, needles, blah blah....

with this economy and so many quilt shops going under (and that fer shure ain't my fault!) I want to be ahead and have what I need before the day comes that it's just not there

I can always barter a warm blanket for some groceries if need be....

after awhile (like right about now) of robbing Peter to give to Paul, Peter finally gives out and has no more for anybody to take and the whole thing is collapsing like the house of cards it is....
all this talk of "free" health care - just who do people think is actually paying for it? the guvmint? where do you think the guvmint gets that money? from your pocket.....

anyway - no more fabric buying for a good long while...

DH and I will be shopping at Sam's Club in the morning....online. (I have to work, but hubby has the day off) There are a few things on at a good price that we will get for kids for C'mas, plus a couple of things for ourselves....like a Blu-Ray player. That has been on our wish list for quite some time, but we felt they were too pricey. Nice to find something on the wish list at a price we can afford. :)

Hope you all had a wonderful day today...doing whatever you wished!!

I too didn't see anything that "jumped" out at me. Like everyone here I have everything I need. I asked my kids for Yankee candle and even that is not on sale. I'll be saving my money next year for a new sewing machine but right now I may have to pay back taxes! :(

I am right there with the rest of you... I'd LOVE to buy stuff - so many good deals right now - but I cannot justify it - a roomful of fabric and patterns - and thread... :( so sad... Oh well, I have no money anyways....

as a fairly new quilter of 2 years, I still could use one or two more things, however I am trying to stay out of the stores and that includes the quilting stores. I can't justifiy buying anything right now,
    and
    1. Don't want to spend the money
    2. Don't want to pick up someone else's cold or flu bugs
    3. Don't want to fight the crowds
4.Don't want to buy anything for my sewing room til I get it organized where I can find things

after all that, I probably will hit the fabric stores before the month ends, if not the end of the week. need (that is a funny word) Christmas material for my napkins that I might or might not get done in time to use!
