While working on my D9P this morning I was thinking about what to do next and then and after that and a few other projects i want to do and how to fit in the quilts for my cousins little girls and her baby on the way....and I got an idea...I dont know if anyone else has a way to do this but..here is what I am goign to do...

I have a cork bulletin board (large one) I can hang up in my sewing room then I can put quilts I need to do...want to do...or patterns I want to try on the board....then I can arrange them in order by importance and list if i need anything to do this project...here is what I have for my board for now

    Finish D9P top

layer, quilt and bind 4PP (need hot pink thread)

add borders to D9P, layer quilt and bind (fabrics, batting)

start top for blue log cabin quilt (need fabrics)

quilt for Xoe (waiting to see what cara wants for her)

quilt for baby girl (waiting to see what cara wants for her)

    Mini quilt

    weight loss blocks

    try another 4PP

I am sure this list will grow fast but its a start and if I get certain things I need or if I get things done items can be rearranged or moved up on the list

I think it is a great idea. This way your "To Do" list is always in front of you.

What if an emergency quilt pops up? What happens to your schedule?

I use a spreadsheet to keep track of my current quilts in progress and quilts I want to make. I have a column for fabric purchased for top, backing, binding, batting, then I can mark when the top is done, when it's quilted and when it's bound. :) How's that for too organized. LOL Your idea is probably much easier and updated better, I tend to forget about mine and don't update it well. :)

    Cheers!

then it goes to the top of the list and everything else has to be moved back the two baby quilts would be higher but my cousin has not gotten back to me about what colors and or themes she wants if she gets that info to me then those will move up on the board

Not too long ago I made a list of UFO/PhDs and the Want To Do's! It got scary!!!!!

Though it did help me focus on the UFOs/PhDs and encouraged me not to start more projects til the list dwindled a little!

This morning I finished the binding on my Smoothing Iron quilt. Told DH, he then asked what's next? I told him that Sat. I am doing a mystery quilt at LQS, have part 1 ready and will get 2, 3, and 4 at the shop. Also have BOM Thimbleberries going, plus finish last years BOM (95% done). DD wedding/signature guest blocks to put together. And on the horizon I have two baby quilts for friends soon grandchildren (thoughts keep dancing in my head as what to do). THEN of course there are the UFO's that keep haunting me!!!

    Other than that I just sit around eating Bon-Bons . . . .

I don't think I could get a bulletin board big enough.
