Take a photo and wrap the photo pieces in a box with Christmas wrap. They will be surprised.

Do you have a friend you could borrow one from?

Very funny---It took me over 30 years to get my son's promised quilt to him. But he has it now.

Jennifer, wish we lived close I would let you use one of my Husquvarnas. Do you live in an area where there is more than one dealer, not just your brand, any brand. Your dealer should let you use a loaner while yours is being repaired. If he doesn't try another dealer. Good luck, I feel your pain. My machines are working, it is I'm sick with the flu and have no energy to finish my gifts.

Trust me, they will understand and the gift will be even more appreciated after the hub bub of Chirstmas has died down.
This is the best suggestion yet...waiting for the package delivery will enhance the gift. Sorry you had this problem.

This is what I have to do with my DGDs. Found fleece tops and sweats bottoms and put a note in the package. I know what my son is going to say! MOM, we live in FLORIDA! Well, the last I heard it's freezing down there.

Where are your friends...the ones with sewing machines. I'd bet they'd be very willing to lend you a hand or machine!

Geez.. it must be that time of year. I was finishing a quilt top with just one strip left to do and the machine growled at me whined for a sec. and just died right then and there. Lucky me I had a spare machine.

Where do you live? Maybe someone could let you use their machine. Many sewers have more than one. I have two but my Pfaff is in for service too. But try it. Someone will help you out. Wish I could. Good luck! Yolanda
