I would check with a fabric store or quilt store-many in our area allow you to come in and sew/quilt using their machines. Also, a quilting group might help you.

Oh I can feel how upset you are. These things happen and while you are very upset I think they will be very pleased with a picture of the top and and IOU. I do agree that perhaps a bit of fudge or cookes will make the wait a bit sweeter..

Did you ask your dealer if he/she has a machine they could loan you to use until yours is fixed? Seems like good customer relations should mean something to them.

Call your local guild and see if they can help. It's worth a try.

I'm so sorry this happened and at such an important time. Everyone has given such good advice that I have nothing else to add except to send you good thoughts.

And this is why I will never buy another Singer Sewing machine. Singer no longer is the quality it once was - I had a Singer sewing maching that would only use cotton thread, if I used anything else it would jam, and break threads. I'm really sorry - try cleaning your other machine, use a vaccuum, it may help. Good luck.

I am on my third machine trying to finish Christmas projects. My Featherweight has problems in the bobbin area. It is already in the shop. My Pfaff threw a tension fit and usually I can get it straightened out but not this time, so it will go to the shop when I go get the Featherweight. Now I am sewing on a Babylock that I am not familiar with so have to keep consulting the book, but it's sure better than nothing. I'm not out of machines yet, think I still have about a dozen more! Never give up!

Do you belong to a guild, or is there one in your area? I'm sure if you went to your local guild with your problem that someone would help. I also think you should get after your dealer to give you a loaner. Its very poor business practice not to. Just remind him that ou plan on letting all your friends know th kind of service your getting.
