I am a fairly new quilter and I subscribed at one time or another to all of them "to learn" I found I never found a pattern I wanted to make. My learning and trial period was most helped by joining a group of other quilters and reading this forum.

I love Australian Patchwork and Quilting and also Quiltmania but I don't get them often because they are expensive and hard to find. And I'm always surprised (don't know why) by how much great stuff I find in Fabric Trends. Check out your local library, too. They may not have much but if you're in the country and it's a group of libraries they often order things in.....
Good luck! The 'eye candy' is hard to resist!
I agree with you re the Fons and Porter, when my subscription expires I don't plan to renew. I thumb through a lot of mags when I'm in the ENDLESS line at JoAnns.

I think the next time I'm at a b&n or booksamillion I might try Australian Patchwork & Quilting. I have had the ones for stamping and they're usually pretty good.

I don't know if you know this but Mark is now with Fabric Trends. I haven't bought one lately but plan to today.

I think I have suscribed to almost all of them at one time or another. Recently I have let my subs. expire as I can get more knowledge and ideas from Quilting board.

I don't subscribe to any magazines but the library should be a good place to browse through the quilt mags.
