Quiltmaker is my favorite also. They have patterns that are interesting - not too simple and not too complex or "arty". (I admire those quilts, they just aren't what I want to make). I am still trying to convince them to publish an index to search for patterns without having to flip though every issue ( I have them from the early '90s)

my favorite is Quick Quilts. I haven't subscribed in awhile though but these are usually easy quilts.

I subscribed to Quiltmaker for many years and loved it. I now buy one every now and then at the grocery store.

I got the online subscription to Quilters World. You get 2 yrs. back issues and every issue online has projects extra that are not in printed. You can go to their website and look at the present issue free.

I agree about so many patterns on the net. However, there's not much better to me than to curl up on the couch with a cup of hot tea or cocoa and look at a magazine. I LOVE magazines. (just ask my dh)

I am a member of American Quilters Society and as part of the membership, I receive American Quilter each month. I love to buy Fabric Trends at Walmart as it showcases many of the lines of fabric along with pullout patterns. These are my two favs, but if I see one that has a pattern on the front that catches my eye, I might buy it also.

I much prefer Fons and Porter - easy to follow and generally has something each month that I would love to try.

I am dropping my subscription to QN after 30 years. Reason being that I paid for three years of this magazine, for 10 magazines a year. Now they have gone to 6 a year. Didn't ask me if it was alright to shorten my subscription or offer to lengthen it to the right number. Ten magazines for 3 years is 30 magazines, now it is 18 for three years. See my point? They are ripping me off and it really makes me mad. Now I go tot he magazine area of my store and stand and look thru to see if there is anything of interest in the magazine. If so I buy it, but more often than not I walk away. Yes it is more expensive buying a magazine that way , but If I don't like anything inside, I save money in the long run. I also do not like the new format they have come up with.

I like McCall's Quilting and The Quilter. They always seem to have something that inspires me to get busy
