You absolutely, positively did the right thing. Who knows what your DH's motivation was to agree to it being in the DR after you'd said you'd sell it. If you'd really wanted to use it, you would have found a way around him. Trust me on that. Use the $500 to buy something you'll enjoy. (It was already spent money, so have fun with it.)

Wait a minute, I am all sorts of confused. Did you mean to write that you sold just the quilting rack for your Bernina (not a LA and not a machine, just the rack for your Bernina) Your previous posts about this indicated you had the rack for machine quilting that you got when you bought your Bernina 830 in pieces in your garage. Did you also have a complete LA set up too???

Bless you and have a cup of coffee or tea and get out the magazines ---- check out all the lovely projects and then go to the local phone book and see who you can have stitch your next finished project. LOL Get to know the people who LA in your area ---n oh yeah, keep in touch with the person who got your stuff and when she is going well with it, hire her to quilt your tops. LOL Coffee and a nice chocolate brownie will get you through the moment.

Be kind to yourself. All decisions we make are made to improve our lives. You saw fit to improve yours by clearing the clutter. Clutter binds us and prevents us from living in the present.
I would check the Alto cutting to reward yourself for clearing the clutter. It might make you feel better about your decision. And push you forward in doing your piecing of your quilts.
