Connecting Threads solids are a good price too but I haven't used them. Curious if anyone else has.

I generally only use white or black as solid and like Kona Black / white or white muslin depending on the project.

Be aware that Moda Bella is also a 60 square broadcloth, the same as Kona Cotton. It does have a softer hand, but the thread count is identical.

Thank you.... I know that, but I will give it a try. I have never seen another solid brand with a higher thread count except the P&Bs, so I don't have a choice.

I like RJR's cotton supreme because it has a nice soft hand to it, very smooth feel.

Kona cotton is thicker, but if I was going for something that is nice to the touch... it would be the RJR.

Careful of these... always pre-wash to shrink them and to get rid of the excess dye. I've found the quality of these to be extremely variable, over the years.

Thank you all for the responses. I would think that there would be more out there than just a few. My only choice has been Kona, I have never seen the others. So many people use the Kona, would like to try something with a higher stitch count.

Moda's Bella solids are not as thick as Kona cotton. I like the Moda better for projects I hand quilt, and they come in a gazillion colors. You can buy them online from Thousands of Bolts at the incredible price of $4.95 a yard. These are MODA! First quality! Gorgeous! And they have about 300 colors!
