    I like tone on tone,love blenders, and use some patterned. very little solid except sashings

    No solids for me! I've bought two yards when I first started quilting (reads didn't know what's what) and they are still here. I do love tonals and batiks!!

    I use it all....solids batiks tone on tones prints...whatever looks good for what I am making

    I love solids! Hand quilting shows best on solid fabrics, of course. For the quilt backs I normally use patterned ones, especially flower prints.

    I most always use a patterned and have lately done pieced backing becasue they are so much more interesting. Just think - when you pull the quilt up over you - what do you see - the BACK! I will use a plain muslin for a wall hanging so I don't have to waste something good against the wall.
