The printer guy where I used to work used Gojo to clean his hands after he cleaned the press. The stuff he used to clean the press was very potent and smelled awful and was probably too harsh to use on a nice quilt.

When using the alcohol, I put the stained area over my large strainer and pour the alcohol on the stain. Then let cool water run over the stain., Keep repeating until it is rised away. Letting the water or alcohol go straight through keeps the ink from spreading.

Some folks have good luck with hair spray, just make sure it is the kind with alcohol in it as that is the key ingredient. I just skip that and got straight to the alcohol.
