    Default Something to do

I was looking for something easy and fun to do and different. I was reading the board and log cabin stuff kept popping up, so I went searching. I really intend to work on the Pickled Ladies that I had started some time ago but need a little diversion. I found this link.

    http://quiltville.com/pineappleblossompf.html

I liked that little block and have lots of scraps but modified it a bit. I searched in Block Base and found a log cabin that I could modify in EQ 7. I cut the block in two. I will do each side in different colors and then join them in the middle.

I already made a paper pieced pattern out of Freezer Paper and maybe I will do a block in a few. Need to search the scraps lol.....I will post pics when I get one done.

Sometimes we need to get off track by making something fun and simple. Good Luck.

I have been collecting SW fabric for some time now and I really want to make a SW quilt. I have Kokopeli, a novelty fabric with eagles, horses, Indians etc and lots of other fabrics to go with it. I did this little block and could see a SW quilt coming so, I thought I would put it on the back burner and finish up on my other quilt. Meanwhile I will research some SW quilts. This was a fun little diversion tho.

Looks good. I like your idea of doing two different sides.

I'm currently making a very large block log cabin right now out of fleece. In keeping with the meaning of it of course the center block is red. The others are blue and I have a white one with blue and red kids playing, it reminds me of Dick and Jane. Since the blocks are large you can see the kids really well.
