Just PLEASE don't start a topic on feathers. Or chili.

I think the topics that legitimately arise out of someone's struggle with a quilting problem are the most interesting, not ones that are just brought up as things to talk about.

I would love to see some tips from the very talented quilters out there to help me learn what is a good quilting pattern for a particular quilt. How to really bring the quilt to life. Pics would be wonderful...

What I mean for example is to show a picture of a quilt top, or even certain types of blocks, then show a few ways they could quilt it, maybe on a clear overlay...along with advice about what works/doesn't work for a particular pattern.

I may never be as good a quilter as some (Charismah comes to mind first,), but I surely would love to be a better quilter than I am now! :)

I don't know about you, but I see lots of new topics all the time. And for the old topics ... I find there's often new info in them.

Remember, if you don't want to read a topic, no one is forcing you to open the thread!
I agree...I find great info in both the old and the new :D

I learn something new here just about every day (I've been quilting for 40 yrs)-even on what you refer to as old subjects.I have never had the chance to post a plea for HELP -all I have to do is log on here and poof theres the answer its like some one out there knows exactly whats needed.I love all the Wal-Mart info it saves me time when traveling All the cool pics of sewing rooms -tips on new tools/notions/fabrics.All these wonderful people sharing their funnies-boo-boo's-rants and raves-their victories whether its a ribbon won or a quilt that gave a headache from start to finish. It saddens me that you fail to find inspiration or insight here
