Question Something other than a yo yo idea please and thank you

Hi all, hoping someone on this fabulous board can give me some ideas for a childs quilt I'm working on. It is a 3 tier flower block but I'm not going to 1/4 the blocks and put back together so I really need something for in the middle it kinda looks bare this way. The 3 tiers are different material which is nice but.......needs that last little something.

What about chenille or ribbon flowers or letters?

Maybe an applique, a small cute embroidery (bug, flower, etc.) Show us a photo and maybe we can be more helpful

find a pretty animal or floral print and use each motif as an applique...done with the iron on interfacing method, it is done in minutes and then use a buttonhole st to apply ....

If the blocks have flowers, what about doing an applique flower basket in the middle? Put some flowers in the basket from the same fabric as the blocks? Can you find a panel that would fit the blocks theme and use that in the middle?

Could you do something like this in the alternating blocks to bring it together?
