Default Source for plain silk scarves?

I saw a fantastic technique using chisle Sharpies in various colors and plain old rubbing alchol that is sprayed on the colors causing it to run and make beautiful patterns. They showed it being used on plain white silk scarves and I wondered if anyone knows a source for buying multiples of those at a reasonable price. I also wondered if you couldn't do this on plain white material and make some beautiful home dyes for quilting. Not sure if the color would hold up though.

dharmatrading.com has many clothing, scarf, etc. blanks for dyeing. I've been ordering from them for years and years and am a very happy customer.

I've been told that dyes don't spread as nicely in cotton as in silk, so although you could try the technique your results would probably be less spectacular. Would love to see what you make.

Sound pretty. Nice scarves aren't always easy to find. I wear hats all the time and I use scarves as hat bands to change them up.

what exactly SETS the color? Sharpie is not that permanent..and silk is fussy about dye setting in it..it is NOT easy to set...

Default Thanks to all who replied

I posted a few days ago looking for a source for plain silk scarves for dyeing. Thanks so much to all who responded and I did find and order them from Dhama.
