I don't know about there being a spell checker here on this board but I have a free down-loadable spell checker that I got from the Internet. It is called ispell and can be found at www.iespell.com. It means you can spell check anywhere on the web without going into a separate program. It only requires a right click to bring it up.
Also in Word did you know in spell check you can program in shortcuts for things you have to type over and over but they never change...for example if you lived in New York, you could program your entire address and give it a shortcut like NY and it would automatically put in the entire address. A big help if you are sending out a lot ofcorrespondencee.

Thanks for the tip. It doesn't work on my computer. The Bad Speller's Dictionary is one of my BFF. BrendaK

That was my happy accident for the day!
I was so excited till I tried it.
    Doesn't work for me.
I have windows 7 and I only have been able to use spell check if I am in word/office or in e-mail.
    Thanks for sharing.

Google seems to be a better spell guesser then the chrome browser.

Some people see others who are unable to spell well or have horrible grammar as uneducated, lazy and or dumb. I am neither. I am someone who has struggled all of my life to be able to learn something that for most people is easy and when most people are able to stop being educated at the age of 18 or collage I am not. I will forever have to learn because I am unable to retain anything I have learned

(P.S I had 20+ spelling mistake in this writing I love spell checker!)
Hats off to you! I taught many honors students who struggled every day to do what most students could do almost without effort. The youngsters who struggled were, in my opinion, those most likely to excel in other areas of life because they know how to persevere. froggyintexas
