My 3rd time at the Houston International Quilt Show, I spend almost $10,000.00. That was the year I found out my DH loves me unconditionally!

That is a simple Diappearing 9 patch. thanks for the compliment
I love that quilt too. Isn't it something what you can do with color. Are the white & the yellow solid colors? I would love to make a Dissappearing 9 Patch with only 3 fabrics.

Our show is coming next week and I've been saving for a few months. I will stick to my budget, I will stick to my budget. Don't I sound convincing.

    True!!
I second that. that's how I do all my shopping that has the potential to get costly (ie. hobby shopping/big purchases/holiday shopping).

I also went to this show and enjoyed it - was being good - only bought 3 patterns & 2 fat quarters. Naturally one of the fat quarters won't work & naturally the fabric to match was at home !

Bought a few panels (yea like I need more of those!), A kalidescope template, marking chalk, some charms, a really neat template for making leaves. Geez I don't use 90% of the items in my sewing room already...I had to vent somewhere...anyone else have a "spend foolish" story?

Hey don't feel guilty! I go to three quilt shows a year - spring summer and autumn, and if I see some fabric crying to be taken home it goes with me!! I don't drink or smoke, and I always say my quilting passion keeps me off the streets and off the milkman!!
