Spoonflower fabric - any tips
For the first time ever I am trying Spoonflower. My dad is 86 and grew up in Germany so I got some pictures of his home town and I am having them printed on the fabric. I am planning on using them for a backing of a lap quilt for him
I am wondering if there is anyone here has done that and if there are any care tips I should know of.
Well its actually too late for ordering tips as my fabric shipped today I am just wondering about when I get them.
Any thoughts?

You may want to wash in Retayne before you use it. I have only used Spoonflower fabric once, but noticed some fading (not bleeding). I made pillowcases for my grandson so they do get washed regularly- more than you would a quilt I think- so it might not be a problem for your project.

When I ordered, before it arrived, I received instructions on how to 'treat' the fabric before using... I can't remember exactly, maybe washing and pressing. I didn't follow it because my FQ was cut up to be used in the quilt show awards which won't ever be washed.
