Shopping to upgrade my sewing machine. I like the what these two Brother machines seem to do. But is one better than the other? Does anyone on the board have one of these and if so would you suggest it and why? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. I love this board and learn so much. Just need to learn a little more today. :)

I love brother, I have a brother and am about to buy another brother machine. They are amazing machines. My dream machine is the NX 450-Q

Lisa I will have to check that one out. But I am guessing it will be out of my price range at this time. What do you have now?

I have the SQ9050 which has a few more features than the 9000 and I like it, sews very smoothly, lots of nice stitches, comes with all the quilting feet you need 1/4 inch free motion, walking foot.

I have a Brother...it might be the 9000...and am very happy with this machine. Does $190 for price sound right for that model? That's what I paid for mine...good strong machine, very dependable, no "issues".

Thanks to you all for your thoughts. I think I have decided on the SQ9050. And they have it at my local store so I can get it right away if I choose. I am excited and releaved to have made a choice with so many options out there.
