Square vs Rectangle quilts

Square quilts drive me nuts. I have gotten quite good at adapting patterns to be rectangular. Sometimes it's just adding one or two more rows to the top and bottom, other times it's just adding more background fabric. I think symmetry sells better than trying to make several different size quilts from the same pattern.
