    Hi, I have just recently started quilting and I absolutely love it! I would love to make some lap quilts for a local nursing home. However, being new at quilting I don't have a "stash" of fabric yet. Can anyone help me with this project?? I would need at least 6" squares or larger of fabric. Thanks so very much!!

    Check out thrift stores for good used clothing, they are usually packed full and have alot of pretty fabrics in a shirt or skirt. Ask at a church , if they have a quilting group or not ; and if someone would like to donate fabric to you. You never know what people have boxed away; that they don't want anymore.
