Squaring HST before or after block assembly?

You can use your regular ruler because it has a 45 degree line on it. Align the 45 line with the diagonal line across the HST. It will show you if the HST is square and true or not. If it is, leave it alone - if it's not, then square it up. Yes, lots of work - but you will have a better product in the end.
