Hello, can anyone tell me how to square up flying geese using a regular ruler and not a specialized one? My geese are 6 1/2 by 3 1/2. Thanks!

Try putting the quarter inch line on the "nose" of the geese and cut. Turn it aroung and put the 3 1/2 inch line on the newly cut edge and cut again. Put the quarter line on the bottom egde of the triangle and cut. Turn the geese around and put the 6 1/2" line of the ruler on the newly cut edge and cut again. I hope this helps and is correct as I use Eleanor Burn's method for geese.

I have ALWAYS done Flying geese using EB's method which works GREAT especially for the scrappy look. I would use my 6.5 square ruler. I use the Omni grid Glowline tape that is a "transparent fluorescent tape for highlighting lines and shapes on rulers". Hope that this helps.
