Oh no! That's my favorite starch. Can you make liquid starch out of regular dry starch? I just don't want to go back to the spray cans again. Such a waste when the nozzles clogged up.

At Walmart this morning an employee said none came in on the last truck and it was ordered. He looked it up and it showed unavailable. Went to a grocery store and asked about it. The employee said we sell it, let me look in the back. He found a case of it, hadn't been put on the shelf yet. $2.98 for a half gallon.

It looks like I'm going to have to stock up while it's still available. I'm on my last 1/2 gallon now.

I noticed StayFlo at my Walmart yesterday on clearance for $4. I don't know if that's a good price or not since I don't use it

If it is on clearance at Walmart that means it will not be stocked again or the packaging has changed for that product.

Sta Flo is the only starch I use. I just email the company that produces it, Henkel, and asked if they are discontinuing the product. Hopefully they will respond.

Spray starch can be made with cornstarch and water, and it can also include essential oils for fragrance. Here's a basic recipe:
    1. In a large bowl or measuring cup, stir 1 heaping tablespoon of cornstarch into 2 cups of cold water until it's completely dissolved.
    2. Optionally, add 1–2 drops of essential oil.
    3. Pour the mixture into a clean spray bottle.
    4. Label the bottle with "Spray Starch" and a reminder to shake well before each use.

Thank you Kalama. I thought I had seen a "recipe" for it before. I may be giving that a try.

My grandmother use to make starch and it was heated and stirred. She added laundry bluing to it to make it sky blue. I haven't seen laundry bluing in years. That is good stuff.
