    Default Stain glass block

Does anyone know how to do a Stain glass quilt block using the "stack "n wack " method.? I think that you stack fabric squares, cut several times , sw black on pieces and sew back together. Do anyone of you heard of this mothod and do you details?

The pattern is called "Magic Tiles" and I believe the original pattern was put out by Kathleen Bissett.
Just do a google search for the quilt name and you will find many photos and probably the pattern and some tutorials.
I have made a few of them, they are fun and they turned out well.
    Hope this helps.

    Hello:
If possible check your local library for a book. As suggested above do a search. A lot of choices are available. I took the class at the local QS and it is fast once the cutting is done. If you use nine different fabrics you will have 9 blocks. Twelve different fabrics you will have 12 blocks though it is a little tougher cutting.

Thank you ladies for the name of the quilt. Yes it is "magic tiles" by Kathleen Bissett. I did a search and found lots of helpful links. Also this same pattern was posted on this QB. Here is the link. I think this pattern would be good to use as a religious themed quilt/wallhanging with a cross surounded by the stain-glass block. Thanks again ladies - you all are the BEST!!!!!.

Another way would be to slice up a stack of fabrics, and sew them back together with bias tape top stitched on top.
