Copied from above thread:
Someone asked what pattern she used. It is a book from The Patchwork Place by Jo Parrott called Template Free Stars. You can find it on amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Template-Free-.../dp/0486294730"

interesting! Did you all notice the price of this book? There are patterns of this in lots of older magazines and I think on some of the older quilting shows like Kaye Woods.. I think I have made 8 point stars 45 degree and six point stars with 60 degree angles on a ruler. fun pattern!

When I looked for this book to show what the cover looked like I did notice the price! However when people ask what pattern I try to figure out how to show them, not only the name and author, but what the book looks like. MY MIL has had this book for years. I'm guessing she did not pay that for it. It is now out of print thus the sellers who find one and realize what they could possible get for it. (Ugh!) Yes, this pattern can be found else where. This was just the easiest way to show the pattern she used.
