I go with whatever moves me. Sometimes I just stick with one project because I like it and want to finish it. Other times I need a little variety and will switch between 2 or 3 at the same time because one is too boring or too frustrating.....

Do both! If you're like me, you find it impossible to machine quilt an entire quilt from beginning to end without getting tired or bored of it. So, alternate days or weeks or something so you can enjoy both but still finish the one that's almost done.

    Have fun!

I just start the new blocks, and eventually I will feel like finishing the other quilt

It's YOUR choice - do 1 - do the other - do both - do something else - do what's in your heart!

Start the new quilt. Life's too short to worry about not finishing one first. Enjoy what you do!

OK. You all broke through the paradigm I was stuck in. I get it now; start something new and I will get back to the first project (or second project or third, as I understand some have many unfinished projects). Thanks for the encouragement. DH out of town and I am going to start fondling some material kind members form the Board sent me and sort and fondle some more, plan, and tomorrow morning the first block begins! I am so excited. Thanks.

Just go for it and start the new project. I just now finished a quilt I started 13 years ago. There have been many started and stopped in between. On to a new project and then maybe back to a couple UFOs. What fun is a hobby if you cannot just jump right into it, wherever you are on another.

I work on several projects at a time as long as I don't have a deadline. I also read two or three books at a time. Just do what whatever you want to and enjoy.

Do what you enjoy. If you aren't working on the other quilt it's because you need to take a break from it.

Start the new thing. The other quilt will pique your interest someday or it won't. It doesn't matter. Life is too short.

I have been pretty disciplined about not having a pile of UFO's, and have been successful in completing my projects. However, it is nice to have two or three different projects to work on depending on your mood or amount of time you have to work on something. Simply make it your goal to finish your older project before you start yet another!
