Default The start of my first quilt...

I guess mine is not traditional, more modern but it is a strip pattern for a baby blanket. I hope to at least get the quilt top done before my surgery next week.

What do you think? I just loved the colors of Moda Fabric, It's a Hoot, but I added some other fabric to it. Oh and I did move some after this because the pattern got off at the top. Should end up being around 35"x35", I hope.

That black stripe really accents the bird print, and your colors all tie together so nicely. I have noticed more and more that the babies I see have blankets that are not traditional baby colors and styles -- they are so much more "mod" these days.

Congratulations! We will enjoy seeing a pictures when it is completely finished.

The nursery is different shades of pink but I just couldn't find different pinks that I liked and just really loved these colors. It is more of a carry in the car, play blanket. It is for a friend.

I like your fabric selections, and the layout is great. Your friend will love it!

Thanks! She has seen the fabric but not the layout. She said she loves the colors.

Really cute, but I would make it bigger than 35 x 35. Once baby starts scooting, then will be off of it. I always make mine at least 48 x 48.
