startch question, again
#4
I have begun to as it makes cutting, piecing and quilting much easier. I do longarm quilting as a business and material that has been starched with properly pressed seams lays flatter on the frame, lessening the possibility of creating a tuck in the quilt top.
I always wash my fabric before I use it and I don't use fabric softener on it. This removes the sizing in the material and starching it puts sizing back in, giving it just enough body to make it easy to work with.
