I'm making two quilts for my boys. They are 8 and 5. The 8yo is begging for a quilt! He has looked at patterns and fabrics with me and told me what he likes. He really wants his own quilt! Quite the little pest about it too. So the last two weeks I spent cutting blocks and making half square triangles. I cut WAY too many blocks! Oh well they'll go in a container and be useful for some future project right? I got all the hsq's done yesterday and got to lay out some blocks. It looks so good (to me anyway) and ds loves it...both of the boys do. I have a few free hours this morning as they have a class that dd takes them to so I'm going to try and get a few more blocks done and together. this is the part of quilting I love....seeing it all come together!

Great "boy" colors. Can't wait to see the finished quilts.

Pinwheel pattern is one of my favorites. It's always in style.

very nice...subtly masculine...It works for me  I know you haven't been quilting long, how many of the kids have you made quilts for so far? I think it's a great together experience, picking out fabrics and pattern and then watching it grow into a quilt. Way to go Mom....
