Starting a Charity Sewing/Quilting Group at Church -- Want Advice

I have no advice; however I think what you are trying to do is a great thing. I will tell you what a lady at a nursing home told me the elderly could use was bibs that tie at the neck and cover their laps. I thought that was a good idea to catch the food and keep them cleaner. I worked in a nursing home for 3 years and that would have been a great help. I loved working with the elderly. I have not made it as far as making any yet but would love to do so.

Thanks for starting this thread..what a a wonderful mission. I have enjoyed the conversations.
My cousin works with LWS in her rural community. Women from other churches are part of the group...truly an ecumenical group. Maybe you could reach out and see what others in your area are doing. Invite them over for a salad luncheon get together and explain your mission. Will be watching this with interest.
