Good for you! In fact, I'm going to my MILs this weekend and I think I'll take along a hand project and work on my stitches too. I'm enthusiastic...but awful at the moment :).

Good for you Molly! Someday maybe I'll try it. I've seen some videos where people wear 2 or 3 thimbles! I'm going to "tie" my current project.

I love your doll pattern. Did you design it and can you share it? Are they applique? I also want to start hand quilting to have something to carry with me during idle times. Thanks

Do you mean the Mammies? My sister-in-law saw a quilt with them in Oklahoma, and she sent me a picture. I looked for the pattern but couldn't find it. So, I made my own pattern. I am afraid it may be copyrighted so I can't give it to you. Sorry. Maybe if you search, you can find it. It is appliqued and then blanket stitched around. I love it too. :)
